Batchelor Outdoor Education Unit - Dining Hall
About the project
Construct New Dining Hall including state of the art kitchen and toilet facilities to Batchelor Outdoor Education Unit. Works comprised off structural elements including blockwork, steel truss and iron roofing. Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical works were completed to the highest standards. Finishing/Fitout works included rendering, painting, vinyl flooring, stainless steel kitchen, joinery and carpentry fit off works.
The Client wanted to achieve a quality project, within tight timeframes (19 weeks), to budget, while contractors undertook works safely onsite and engaged local employment with a strong focus in engaging indigenous employees. SH Build delivered on all achievements.
Our Solution
SH Build completed works within tight timeframes to meet The Department of Education deadline for opening for semester 2, 2015.
Safe working processes were carried out at all times onsite with the site successfully undergoing a 4801 Certification audit in April 2015.
All works were completed to the highest quality standards exceeding the customers expectations.
SH Build engaged 10 Indigenous Employees on this contract plus 4 contractor Indigenous Employees, 8 apprentices and 2 trainees across all trades including indigenous apprentices and trainees.
