About the project
The works comprised the construction of five x three bedroom dwellings on lot 759, 818, 819, 820 and 821 in the township of Maningrida in the Northern Territory.
Our Solution
The Maningrida Housing project was a successful project that saw outstanding achievements in Indigenous Worker engagement, IBE engagement and community participation. SH Build was situated in the Community for nearly 6 months and established good networks and relationships with all Community providers.
There was a total of 63 workers engaged on the project with 15 workers identifying as indigenous, and 10 of the indigenous workers are local Maningrida residents. The FTE exceeded 40% on average across the term of the contract.
There was substantial training completed during the course of the contract for both indigenous and non-indigenous workers including accredited and non-accredited training.
