The Taminmin Shade Structure comprised the designing and constructing of a Solid Steel Shade Structure over the existing Basketball and Netball Courts at Taminmin College. The structure is providing much needed protection for the Primary School kids from the harsh NT sun. The Shade Structure stands at 8 metres high, 43 long and 36 wide.
The Taminmin Shade Structure project was a successful project that saw outstanding achievements in Indigenous Worker engagement and community participation. SH Build actively worked with the client, community and school resulting in the delivery of a great facility.
All contract quality requirements were adhered to with hold, witness and structural inspections completed at various intervals throughout the contract.
All works were completed to the highest quality standards exceeding the customers expectations.
There was a total of 24 workers engaged on the project with 3 workers identifying as indigenous. All subcontractors and suppliers engaged on the contract were local NT based companies.
"SH Build completed works within the set timeframes and delivered to the clients and industry expectations. Positive feedback was received from the Project Manager and Client on their dealing with SH Build." - Project Manager, Dept of Infrastructure
