The works comprised the construction of a Multipurpose Pavilion and 2 x Carparks at Lot 217 & 607 for the OLSH Thamarrurr Catholic College in the township of Wadeye in the Northern Territory.
The Wadeye Multipurpose Pavilion and Carparks project was a successful project that saw sound achievements in Indigenous Worker engagement and community participation. SH Build actively worked with the client, community and school resulting in delivery of a great facility.
There was a total of 42 workers engaged on the project with 12 workers identifying as indigenous, and 2 of the indigenous workers are local Wadeye residents. The FTE exceeded 35% on average across the term of the contract.
There was substantial training completed during the course of the contract for both indigenous and non-indigenous workers including accredited and non-accredited training.
SH Build completed the work with high quality and met industry standard. They maintained a good relationship with The Catholic Education Office and other stakeholders.
