Wadeye Multipurpose Pavilion

The Wadeye Multipurpose Pavilion and Carparks Project delivered a new community-use facility for the school precinct at Wadeye, in remote southwest NT. Scope covered full substructure and superstructure works, internal fit-out and finishes, mechanical and electrical services, and the construction of two carparks with associated drainage, kerbing and line marking. The facility was designed to host school, sporting and community events under one roof.

Project Overview

The Wadeye Multipurpose Pavilion and Carparks project was a successful project that saw sound achievements in Indigenous Worker engagement and community participation. SH Build actively worked with the client, community and school resulting in delivery of a great facility.

All contract quality requirements were adhered to with hold, witness and structural inspections completed at various intervals throughout the contract and signed off by the client.

There was a total of 23 local workers engaged on the project with 11 workers identifying as Indigenous. All subcontractors and suppliers engaged on the contract were local NT based companies.
