Delivered for the Department of Logistics and Infrastructure, works included hazardous material removal, site preparation, structural demolition, waste management and site remediation.

Project Overview

The Birritjimi Demolition of 6 Dwellings project involved the demolition of six residential dwellings in the Gove region, including asbestos removal and associated civil works, delivered for the Department of Logistics and Infrastructure. Works included hazardous material removal, site preparation, structural demolition, waste management and full site remediation, ensuring the safe and compliant completion of the project.

The project successfully delivered the removal of the existing residences at Birritjimi Beach while maintaining all contract quality and inspection requirements throughout the works. SH Build engaged a total of 26 workers on the project, including 7 Indigenous workers, supporting local participation and workforce development in the region.
