Project Overview

The Numbulwar Old Clinic Demolition project involved the demolition of the existing health clinic facility, including the disconnection and capping of all services, physical power disconnection from mains supply and sewage and grey water disconnection. Works also included the safe removal and disposal of significant quantities of asbestos-containing materials, including walls, floors, ceilings, sheeting and soffits, delivered in full compliance with regulatory and contract requirements.

The project was successfully completed within a short timeframe ahead of the approaching wet season, despite challenges associated with additional asbestos discoveries and COVID-related lockdowns and restrictions. SH Build increased on-site resources to maintain progress and successfully deliver the project in difficult remote conditions. A total of 26 workers were engaged throughout the project, including 6 Indigenous workers.
