Project Overview

The Ludmilla Demolition project involved soft strip demolition, removal of existing classrooms and associated structures, compliant removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials and full site clearance and reinstatement. All works were carefully staged and programmed to minimise disruption to ongoing school operations while maintaining full NT WorkSafe compliance throughout the project.

The project achieved strong outcomes in Indigenous worker engagement and local industry participation, with SH Build working closely with the client, school representatives, local suppliers and subcontractors to deliver a safe and successful outcome. A total of 48 local workers were engaged on the project, including 8 Indigenous workers, with all subcontractors and suppliers being Northern Territory based companies.
