Project Overview

The Maningrida 12 Dwellings project involved the design and construction of a diverse residential housing development in Maningrida, the largest community in Arnhem Land, located approximately 500km east of Darwin. The project delivered a mix of dwellings including 5 bedroom, 4 bedroom,  -bedroom and 2 bedroom homes, as well as three 2 bedroom duplexes, complete with civil works, new kitchens and bathrooms and all associated services connections.

Delivered over an 11 month period, the project achieved strong outcomes in local development, Indigenous employment and community participation. SH Build established strong working relationships within the community while engaging a total of 127 workers throughout the project, including 33 Indigenous workers. Despite challenges outside of SH Build’s control, including weather events, lockdowns and vandalism, all contract quality requirements were successfully met through ongoing inspections and quality assurance processes.
